How do I book in for my first Yoga Theory class?
The best way to start is by contacting us or booking in online.
You can book in online through our class schedule or through the MindBody App.
What class should I start with?
We would recommend starting with the yoga foundations or balance and stretch class if you are completely new to a practice.
All of our classes can be adapted to beginners.
What should I expect at a Yoga Theory class?
Expect to walk in to a non-competitive and peaceful environment in Adelaide CBD.
You can expect the teacher to greet you as you walk in and and introduce you to the studio.
Do I need to be flexible to start yoga?
No. That’s one of the reasons you go to yoga.
Just be flexible in your mind and open to the practice.
How often should you train yoga?
Ideally about 2 or more times a week.
The more often you come, the more benefits you will get.
There is not really a maximum limit, just understand your body and what feels right.
What class is best for beginners yoga?
The yoga foundations or balance and stretch class is best for a complete beginners.
Our friendly trainers can adapt any class to suit your level.
What are the different styles of yoga?
We have a beginners balance and stretch class and an open level vinyasa flow class!

Do I need to bring my own yoga mat?
We provide the yoga mats and we do not have a mat hire fee.
You are welcome to bring your own mat, that is welcome and it can be stored at the studio.
How do I book class on my phone?
You can book through the MindBody app, or through our website www.yogatheory.com.au.
What should I bring to a yoga class?
Comfortable clothes that you can stretch in and a water bottle, we will take care of the rest.
What time should I arrive to yoga class?
Our studio opens 15 minutes before class. Please try to arrive to class before the start time to settle in.
How can I avoid getting injured in yoga?
Listen to your teacher and practice within the limits of your own body.
You should notify the teacher about any injuries before class
You should know that there is always an option to rest and ask questions during class.
Are Yoga Theory classes safe?
At Yoga Theory we limit our classes to 12 people for one teacher to ensure every student is doing the poses correctly and safely.
How should I prepare if I am completely new to yoga?
- Talk to us about any conditions that may impact on your yoga practice and consult a medical professional before attending classes.
- Listen to your body and take modifications. If the practice gets too strong, take rest and use the breath as a point of focus to maintain calmness.
- Modify poses and use the blocks and straps provided. Most poses can be modified to suit the beginners level or those working with issues in there body. Take the opportunities given to modify.
- Listen to your teacher and ask questions. Your yoga teacher is a highly trained Yoga Theory professional. Feel comfortable asking them questions and picking their brain – they like it.
